Ah, good irish tunes to keep me up and going.
The Rebel Jesus
All the streets are filled with laughter and light
And the music of the season
And the merchants` windows are all bright
With the faces of the children
And the families hurrying to their homes
As the sky darkens and freezes
They`ll be gathering around the hearths and tales
Giving thanks for all God`s graces
And the birth of the rebel Jesus
Well they call him by the Prince of Peace
And they call him by the Savior
And they pray to him upon the seas
And in every bold endeavor
As they fill his churches with their pride and gold
And their faith in him increases
But they`ve turned the nature that I worshipped in
From a temple to a robber`s den
In the words of the rebel Jesus
We guard our world with locks and guns
And we guard our fine possessions
And once a year when Christmas comes
We give to our relations
And perhaps we give a little to the poor
If the generosity should seize us
But if any one of us should interfere
In the business of why they are poor
They get the same as the rebel Jesus
But please forgive me if I seem
To take the tone of judgement
For I`ve no wish to come between
This day and your enjoyment
In this life of hardship and of earthly toil
We have need for anything that frees us
So I bid you pleasure
And I bid you cheer
From a heathen and a pagan
On the side of the rebel Jesus.

So it's been 16 months and I don't know where I'd be otherwise. So much changes... =-)
You can't forget your past, cuz you never know when you're going to run into someone or have to remember something- I learned that this week.

She's electric
She's in a family full of eccentrics
It's St. Paddy's day, and being Irish I should have something grand to say about my history, or my people, or whatever... but all I can think about is how my family (sans me) is going to ireland. It just kinda sucks alot. However, my dad did get me tickets to go see the A-bros on this coming monday to make up for it. Not too shabby I might say.
Not too shabby.
I saw the Passion... it wasnt great, it wasnt awful... I guess not having seen the anti-semetic propaganda that Caiphus was modeled after, does make it more difficult for me to understand the anti-semetic vibe people felt so strongly.
Yay or Nay.. Starsky and Hutch was a better movie.. and a better bang for my buck.
Do it. Do it. Do it.
ok so I can't blog with people looking over my shoulder, but I like you there... so things go.

Today was pretty damn kool. My dad and I had breakfast/lunch when he got home around 1 and then we went into the city to see the chieftains @ carnegie hall. Before we saw them we walked around for a while and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. But when we finally got to the hall ...they were way awesome. And the guest fiddler looked like brad pitt. Maybe it WAS brad pitt. He tap danced too. (I dont mean step-danced, i mean tap danced.. foo)
It was pretty nice to get to talk to my dad too. Its a fresh perspective on everything that's been going on with me lately. A perspective that is unbiased toward the situation, critical of me, and yet clearly working on my side. I don't have to fight that hard to get his sympathy. And he's kinda given me some of the push I need to resolve some things.
I wrote this blog last night, but it's on the other computer, the one that doesnt have online capabilities, so who knows if that'll ever see the light.
im tired. im glad i dont have to worry about anything tonight. i could, but why? im on break.
