In Memory of Cassandra

Women be wise, keep your mouth shut, don't advertise your man Don't sit around gossiping, explaining what your good man really can do Some women nowadays, Lord they ain't no good They will laugh in your face, Then try to steal your man from you Women be wise, keep your mouth shut, don't advertise your man Don't be no fool

Don't Think Twice, It's All Right

by Bob Dylan

It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It don't matter, anyhow
An' it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If you don't know by now
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I'll be gone
You're the reason I'm trav'lin' on
Don't think twice, it's all right

It ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
That light I never knowed
An' it ain't no use in turnin' on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
Still I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talkin' anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right

It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
Like you never did before
It ain't no use in callin' out my name, gal
I can't hear you any more
I'm a-thinkin' and a-wond'rin' all the way down the road
I once loved a woman, a child I'm told
I give her my heart but she wanted my soul
But don't think twice, it's all right

I'm walkin' down that long, lonesome road, babe
Where I'm bound, I can't tell
But goodbye's too good a word, gal
So I'll just say fare thee well
I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don't think twice, it's all right.

ah sweet sadness. i think that is my dad's favorite song that he knows how to play on the guitar.. he never can quite figure it out but I think I'll email him the tabs. Maybe half the fun is sitting there trying to remember. All I know is that this song has been on my lips for days and finally my mind is at ease.

I finished my last paper for mr wicke. There are 5 in all, and I would say I really like 3 or 4 and Oedipus Rex is my favorite. I have a couple quotes on that one.. all pretty much existential thinking.. i really like it.. its catchy..lol

OK here's an example... The dude is talking about how oedipus distinguishes himself from the chorus when he becomes his own accuser. The dude finds this to be a very honorable thing.. and here is what he says ...

"For a man is never more conscious of being a person and less conscious of being a thing than when the self is accusing itself and accepting its own guilt".

--So he's drawing a parallel between Oedipus and the person and the chorus and the thing. Here is another good one I found...

"Determinism, theories of heredity and environment, fatalism: all are devices not for explaining guilt or evil, but for explaining them away, away from ourselves, at all costs."

--The dude goes on to relate oedipus to that remark about how oepidus doesnt cop out and use this devices to forgive himself ... he finds this to be very honorable and says that because of this oedipus reaches his 'true moral stature' at the end of the play... nice eh?

I just found everything that this guy Richmond Y. Hathorn had to say totally interesting.. he quotes Camus and a few other reknown people that weren't good quotes for this particular assignment, but they certainly added to the reading enjoyment. My mom says that I put the most passion into this paper, and I guess I was just inspired by so much great resource. I just wrote the way I think, so who knows... I should do well.. my past papers have done pretty well.

Ah my... home on a saturday night... and im singing the song by rizzo for auditions?? maybe i should rethink that.... even though the freddy one makes me puke.

Rizzo is interesting.. from what i remember about her she is supposedly a foxy sex kitten type deal...but they call her by her last name... thats kinda a masculine thing to do.. Is the contrast supposed to indicate her sexual prowess or healthy sexual appetite... that of a teenage guy at the time? I wonder... cuz it isnt like that for every girl who gets called by her last name... sometimes she just is less feminine... oh dear i should end this day the way it began... with me in bed.

gnite folks.. i love frodo
