A Valentines Day Poem:
Ode to Genevieve
I met a girl named Genevieve
Who in conversation I doth perceive
Is a girl with special qualities
She stands aside with the classics - Odysseus, Achilles, and Euripides
Well this friend of mine
This feminist of man (woman) kind
Brings forth a feeling so sublime
That to describe in full I have not the time
But what I will say of her cuteness
Of her smoothness
And her Koolness
That what I say, I say in truthfulness
That she, Genevieve, you simply must believe
She is no Clytemnestra, but rather one a King would never leave
For to lose her smile, wit, and vocabulary would make a man grieve
And for the sake of rhyme I'll mention she works at a pharmacy
Now no more silly rhymes, no more wasted time,
Let me end this poem with the only beauty that gave meaning to every line
Let me simply speak the name Genevieve,
My Pretty Valentine.
